Free palm reading scanner

Your heart, head, life and fate lines, drawn and named on your photo, with a short reading.

For a clear photo

  1. Palm facing the camera
  2. Fingers relaxed, a little apart
  3. Soft, even light, no flash
  4. Your whole hand in the frame

Take a photo or choose one. It stays on this device: read here, in your browser, never uploaded and never kept.

How the palm scanner works

  1. It checks the photo. Even light, sharp enough, one whole hand in the frame, palm side up. If something’s off, it says exactly what to change, and reads nothing from that photo.
  2. It traces your lines. It finds 21 points on your hand and follows the creases between them. Each line is drawn on the photo in its own ink and pattern, with its name beside it, and you can hide any of them.
  3. It writes a short reading. AI writes it from a few plain words about each line. Keep it in your notebook if you like: the notes and the reading, never the photo.

The four lines, and what they’re read for

  • Heart line

Runs under the fingers, starting from the little-finger side. Read for how you show feeling.

  • Head line

Crosses the middle of the palm, below the heart line. Read for how you think things through.

  • Life line

Curves around the base of the thumb. Read for energy and how you meet change, never how long anyone lives.

  • Fate line

Rises up the middle of the palm, when there is one. Plenty of hands don’t show one clearly, and that’s ordinary. Read for a sense of direction.

Questions people ask

Can AI read my palm from a photo?
It can find your hand and follow the main creases. Lanterndeck’s scanner checks the photo, finds 21 points on your hand and traces the heart, head, life and fate lines between them, all in your browser. AI then writes a short reading from a few plain words about those lines, such as “long” or “curving up”. It never sees the photo, and it can’t know anything about you that a palm doesn’t show.
Is palm scanning accurate?
At finding the lines, it does well: on our test set of illustrated hands in eight skin tones and five kinds of light, it traced the heart, head and life lines every time and caught every photo it couldn’t read. Real phone photos vary more, so it checks each photo first and asks for a retake rather than guessing. At telling your future, no scanner is accurate, because palms don’t hold one. Palm reading is a tradition of interpretation: enjoy it as a prompt to think, not a forecast.
Is there a free app that can scan palms?
This page works like one: free, in your phone’s browser, with no download, no account and no payment. If you’d like it one tap away, add Lanterndeck to your home screen from your browser’s menu.
How do I read my palm online for free?
Hold one hand up with the palm facing the camera, fingers relaxed and a little apart, in soft, even light. Tap “Scan your palm” at the top of this page and take the photo, or choose one you have. The scanner draws your four main lines and names them, then writes a short reading. To learn what each line’s shape is read for, use the guide to palm lines.Scan your palmThe guide to palm lines
Which hand should I scan?
Either. Palmists often read the hand you write with for the life you’re making, and the other for what you started with. The scanner reads whichever palm faces the camera, one hand at a time.

What a palm reading won’t tell you

Nothing about how long you’ll live, your health or your future. Palm reading is an old tradition for reflection and fun, not a science, and Lanterndeck reads it that way. If something about your hands worries you, a doctor is the person to ask.
